Cal Guixater is the name of our house in the Catalan village of La Joncosa de Montmell, a small village where time seems to slow down. We have breathed new life into the house with a lot of energy and love. The house is the ideal place to enjoy peace and quiet, nature and Catalan hospitality.

About Cal Guixater
Cal Guixater is an old Catalan house dating from 1888, where the former residents sold produce from their own garden and made wine, vermouth and olive oil. In the large barn next to the house, the molino, the gypsum mill operated and gypsum was made from stones from the hills. This also explains the name of the house, as guix is Catalan for gypsum.
During the renovation, we tried to preserve the authentic atmosphere of the house. The house has a surprising entrance and a spacious living room that gives access to the first terrace. On the first floor, there are three comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and toilet, and a spacious living room for communal use. All these areas are available to our guests. We live in an apartment on the ground floor with our own facilities.
